	In june 2008 Matthijs Spek has released his second solo album, entitled 'Beyond'. In contrast with 'Self-portraits' this album has no overdubs, so every song is just one guitar. On one track percussionist Job Verweijen joins forces with Matthijs. Job Verweijen plays on his beautiful Udu by Giorgini. 	In the fall of 2002 Matthijs Spek worked on a number of recordings that has come out in 2005 entitled ‘Self-portraits’. He considers this album as the birth of his own music.
